Golden Temple

Begin your day with a visit to the Golden Temple, also known as Darbar Sahib (Divine Court). Situated in the city of Amritsar, this sacred shrine is a living symbol of the spiritual and historical traditions of the Sikhs. It serves as a source of inspiration and the chief place of pilgrimage for all Sikhs.

Chheharta Sahib

Next, visit Chheharta Sahib, a village located 7 km west of Amritsar. The Gurudwara Chheharta Sahib, founded by the fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjan Dev Ji, is the main attraction. The town gets its name from the well constructed by Guru Arjan Dev Ji, which required six Persian wheels to operate. This site is especially popular during the Basant Panchmi festival, known for its vibrant kite flying tradition and the crowd adorned in yellow turbans.

Gurdwara San Sahib

Continue to Gurdwara San Sahib in the village of Basarke. This site is historically significant as Guru Amar Das Ji, the third Sikh Guru, was named the next Guru by Guru Angad Dev Ji here. Despite resistance from Guru Angad Dev Ji's son, Guru Amar Das Ji was eventually persuaded by the Sikhs to return and lead them.

Lunch

Take a break and enjoy a traditional Punjabi lunch at a local restaurant. Delight in authentic dishes like Amritsari Kulcha, Chole, and Lassi.

Gurudwara Bir Baba Buddha

The site also features a "bir," a reserved forest area used for cattle grazing.

Gurdwara Tahla Sahib
